Synopsis: ACP Arjun Singh (Om Puri) and his brother-in-law, Tayaji (Dara Singh) are honest and dilligent police inspectors. Arjun Singh lives with his wife, Rukmani (Farida Jalal), a daughter, Kajal (Preity Zinta), and a son, Rahul. While on duty, Tayaji is killed while protecting a politician. This devistates Arjun Singh and all of family. Arjun Singh becomes fearful for his life, as he only has a few more years of duty before he retires. His worries increase when he is paired with a daredevil partner from Punjab Police, Karan Singh (Sunny Deol), who is known for breaking rules to bring criminals to justice. To make matters worse, Arjun finds that his daughter has a crush on Karan. He absolutely refuses to permit his daughter to meet with Karan as he wants her to marry someone outside of the police force. Meanwhile, the city is being terrorized by Gawa Firozi (Jackie Shroff), and his brother Sikander. Both Karan and Arjun must act in their own way to protect the people, risking their own lives.
