Synopsis:



Rajiv Saxena (Anil Kapoor) is a middle-aged, wealthy, media industrialist who''s well settled with his wife, Seema (Juhi Chawla). The couple has a son who is wrongly accused of carrying drugs when returning home from abroad and so, he''s thrown into the slammer. The truth is that the son (Aasif Sheikh) of a drug smuggler, Ramlal Shyamlal, purposely exchanged bags with junior at the airport. Rajiv''s lawyer tells him the only way out for his son is for him to get hold of the photographer who happened to click pictures of the incident that landed him in jail. Unfortunately another person, public prosecutor Amar (Rishi Kapoor), who has an axe to grind with Seema and Rajiv, has had the same thought and reaches the photographer first. He buys out his stock of film and gives him orders to scoot. At this opportune moment, the movie takes a u-turn into the past. The flashback reveals the love which initially existed between Amar and Seema. A horrible misunderstanding develops wherein Amar believes that Seema had an affair with his long-time friend Rajiv and in a fit of jealousy, he disowns her. Back to the present now. Amar is happy he has got even with Rajiv and Seema. But he''s in for a surprise at the trial. Seema''s son is his own image and that''s when the truth dawns upon him. A repentant Amar gangs up with Rajiv to bust Ramlal and company. The end is a happy reunion for Rishi and Junior.
