Jalaluddin Muhammad Abar also knownm as Akbar the Great 1542- 1605. Mugal emperor of India(1556-1605): son of Humayun, grand son of Babar. Akbar is widely considered the greatest of the Mugal emperors.
He was only 13 when he became emperor. Although he was himself illiterate, Akbar had so much learning, that his courtys at Delhi. Agra and Fatehpur Sikri became centres of the arts, letters and learning. He founded his own relitious cult, the Din-i-Ilahi or the "Divine Faith".
In order to govern this territories well, Akbar developed a bureaucrary which was among the most efficient. He also gave autonomy to his imperial provinces. Akbar lost his best friends and his most faithful servants bofore he finally succumbed mausoleum of enormous proportions which he himself had caused to be built.
