Synopsis:

An innocent and simple girl Roopa (Vijayata Pandit) and Shekhar ( Anil Kapoor)fall in love and want to get married. Finding their plans thwarted by the evil demands of dowry, they decide to elope. While Roopa, gets awayy from her house, Shekahr becomes the victim of an electric shock. After vainly wainting foe Shekhar, whn Roopa returns home, the news of their elopement had speread aroung the village. Unale to bear the humiliation, roopa's father, chowdhry karan singh, attempts suicide only ro saved by hisfriend. Feeling miserable and responsible for her father's plight, Roopa decides to sacrigice her love for the sake of her family.
