Synopsis:

Prasad Productions' Mera Ghar Mere Bachche is the story of a deserted woman; Geeta (Smita Patil) who saddled with her three children has to boldly face all the trials and tribulations of life.

Though her husband (Raj Babbar) is alive and in prison, she dons the garb of widowhood to protect her virtue. Amidst all the misfortune, fate intervenes by bringing rich Seth Ghanshyam into her life. He not only makes her a Manager in his company but also gives her a place of great social standing. There is a lot of envy amongst her colleagues, which begins to tarnish her image, more so when her husband is released and threatens to expose her.

The conflict and struggle in Geeta's mind culminates in a poignant end with an interesting twist that reflects the sentiment of every Indian woman. Mera Ghar Mere Bachche also stars Meenakshi Sheshadri. The lyrics are well written by Anand Bakshi to the tunes of Laxmikant Pyarelal.
