Synopsis:

This is the story of Ganga (Amitabh Bachchan), Jamunaa (Meenakshi) and Saraswati (Jaya Prada). Ganga and Jamunaa fall in love and vov to spend the rest of their lives together. Saraswati silently loves Ganga and dedicates her life to him. Hansraj (Amrish Puri) as well as many others wants to seprate the two lovers and succeeds in his plot. Ganga and Jamunaa are torn apart. Shankar (Mithun Chakraborty) in love with Jamunaa saves her from the river. Ganga having lost all hope of finding Jamunaa takes Saraswati as his bride. Does Ganga find Jamunaa ?
