Udhar Ka Sindoor (By Yashraj) - DVD

Synopsis:

L.V.Prasad's Udhar Ka Sindur is a family saga full of emotional moments. Raja (Jeetendra), as a child was adopted and raised by Dr. Shivnath (Madan Puri), a kind and generous man. Sudha his daughter, accepts Raja as her own brother but Shivnath's wife and son Premnath always shun him. Butta Singh (Asrani) a rickshaw driver meets Raja's lost sister Sita and raises her as his own sister. Raja is raised well by Dr. Shivnath and goes to learn law in Bangalore along with Premnath. Raja aware of his responsibilities studies hard and conducts himself responsibly while his brother Premnath gets involved with the wrong people and gambles away his father's wealth. Sudha's marriage is fixed but when Dr. Shivnath is arranging funds for the dowry, he is faced by some moneylenders who on good faith had lent his son a lot of money. Shivnath's shock at learning this causes a paralytic attack that renders him handicapped for life. He loses all his money in repaying his son's debts.

Raja who falls in love with Rekha (Reena Roy) has no option left but to desert her, so that he can marry a rich man's blind daughter Shanta (Asha Parekh). This is the only way he can manage to raise enough money to arrange Sudha's marriage. He sacrifices his love to save the honour of the man to whom he owes everything.
